At the Heart of The Music

Ride: "In June 2018 we sadly saw the passing of a good friend who was loved by many. Rob was the first person to introduce me into Jungle music back in the late 90s early 2000s. We recorded vinyl mixes together onto Tape and CD for many years. Rob had a talent for DJing and a fine ear for sound. His interest in electronic music was inspiring. Rob was also a keen supporter of my work and interest in music and sound over the years.

The first instalment was a full tribute to Robbie H’s legacy. The two track EP is made up of atmospheric textures, crunchy drum breaks and weighty bass lines.. an ultimate favourite in music of our late friend. The release is still available on 12" and Digital".

Insight into the Music

"The end of the 20th century saw the beginning of something special.. Jungle music.. deriving from breakbeat hardcore and other sample based electronic music in England in the early 1990s as part of UK rave culture. Pioneers of the genre have made the music what it is today. 30 years on, the movement seems as strong as ever and record production is enjoying statistical growth year after year. Let’s hope this continues. Means of escapism have always been high. The rave and music scene is, and always has been a way to achieve this. 1 Love… Jungle Music".
